I love seeing people reach their potential and create dreams that seemed so far from reality at one time. When I hear the excitement in my client’s voice once they have seen their financial plan and realise their dreams, which sometimes seem so far away, are actually within touching distance: THAT makes being a financial coach so rewarding.

Prior to working with Octopus MoneyCoach, I had a wide and varied career including Management Consultancy in Central Government departments and writing business plans and gaining funding for people starting franchise businesses across a wide-range of sectors. I have always enjoyed seeing people reach their potential and create dreams that seemed so far from reality at one time. This was why I decided to re-focus my career to become a full-time coach.

I first saw the benefits of personal finance management as a recent divorcee and single mum, when my “pension plan” of the business I had built with my ex-husband vanished almost overnight. I quickly had to find my way to manage my money and start saving towards my children and my future.

I have continued to develop my money mindset and share knowledge and techniques with my friends and family. I find it very rewarding seeing them take control on their money matters, be confident in their decisions, and share in their delight as they achieve their goals. The empowerment that confidence in finances brings in all the areas of someone’s life means this really can be the start of a total shift in their lives.
